Cooperation in the World: As Big or as Small as you Like

Cooperation in the world requires we cultivate our capacities of perception. As you look around your world, what do you perceive? Do you see a world in a grain of sand, a heaven in a wild flower, or infinity in the palm of your hand? This is deep-seeing. And while it takes practice to develop, it is not hard.

One of the keys to cultivating our capacity for perceiving is to realize that everything is energy. Over 100 years ago, Einstein revealed this truth to us. His famous equation, E=mc², demonstrates that mass (m) and energy (E) are interchangeable and equivalent. So, when you see mass, or something physical in the world, you are also seeing energy. Everything is literally energy, or ki. Seeing the energy that everything is, is deep seeing.

You can develop your capacity for deep seeing by just going out in your backyard. My favorite time to do this is within the first hour of sunrise, when the air is fresh, the sunlight bright and life all around is waking up. Just go out into your backyard, place your bare feet on the earth, take some nice deep breaths and use all your senses to experience the world around you. The sun on your face, a soft breeze on your skin, the damp earth under your feet, the rustle of leaves in the trees and the sound of birds in the sky. Then, move more deeply into the awareness that everything you are experiencing is energy. At the core of everything is the ki of life itself. Notice how it is already and always flowing, living and cooperating with all. Feel it living in, through and as you. You are now seeing, and feeling, deeply. Now, from here, see if you can let go more fully and allow yourself to melt into the world around you, and it to melt into you. This is a very high form of cooperation in the world, that of becoming one with it.

You are the world, the heaven, the infinity and the eternity that you perceive in the world around you. This is the ki of cooperation in the world.
